From diving deep into literary canons at the University of Glasgow to exploring the wild world of bodily boundaries in anime for the Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association, my academic journey has been anything but boring! I’m currently pursuing my Master of Arts in English Studies at Western Washington University, where I’m wrestling with American periodicals and literary anthologies for my capstone project. When I’m not unraveling the mysteries of forgotten poets or discussing the finer points of Chainsaw Man, you can find me fostering critical thinking as a Graduate Student Instructor for English 101, helping students discover their own voices and maybe even brave the semicolon.

Beyond the classroom and conference hall, my passion for words extends to reviewing fiction and non-fiction as a First Reader for Bellingham Review, where I get to see literary magic unfold before anyone else. I’ve also had the pleasure of guiding undergraduate students through the often-treacherous waters of academic writing at the Hacherl Research and Writing Studio, and even helped launch a new campus magazine, The Rage Magazine, as a Co-Founder & Director of Writing and Editing. Whether it’s dissecting a poem or organizing a chaotic editorial meeting, I approach every task with a blend of serious dedication and a playful spirit, always ready for the next literary adventure.
